With your own qualified instructors you can train and license your own forklift operators
The National Logistics Academy 10-day instructor course will equip your senior operators with the ability to teach, instruct and examine forklift truck operators to RTITB standards. Once qualified they can train up novice operators and existing operators who need to refresh their licence or convert to another type of truck.
2-week initial training
The 2-week course is suitable for any person holding an RTITB Lift Truck Certificate (licence) issued within the last 12 months who wants to progress to instructor level.
On successful completion of the Forklift Truck Instructor Course candidates will be provided with a certificate of completion. This will give them the ability to instruct new recruits and re-qualify existing staff members.
The course concludes with an examination that covers basic operating skills, associated knowledge and practical instructional ability. The learner must pass in order to qualify as an RTITB Lift Truck Instructor. Successful candidates are eligible to register on the RTITB Register of Professional Instructors.
1-week requalification course
Instructors/examiners must undertake a 1-week renewal programme every 3-5 years.
